Building on the success of their first NIL collaboration with Caitlin Clark, State Farm and the Big Ten Network approached us to introduce their newest star to the neighborhood: standout USC basketball player JuJu Watkins. Our role was to expand the Right Kind of Magic campaign, crafting a storyline that would spotlight JuJu’s talent while maintaining the campaign’s charm and relatability. From concept and scripting through editorial, VFX, and finishing, we managed every detail.
The one-day on-location shoot centers on Karli, our ever-relatable lead, who tries to give her new car a little “Good JuJu.” But her efforts go awry, accidentally summoning JuJu Watkins herself. Ever the team player, JuJu calls in Jake from State Farm to help. The spot wraps with JuJu asking, "Who's up for some one-on-one?"—only to have Jake and Karli back away, a bit too nervous to take on the rising star.
